Is this really the original Sad Satan? At around 14:30 of this video, SomeOrdinaryGamers happens upon a download link for a version of Sad Satan. He doesn't download it, merely looking upon the filename listed on the download page before leaving it.so we have no footage of that specific version to know which it is. The original game posted by Obscure Horror Corner features walking down monochromatic corridors while various audio samples are played and looped over each other.
Perhaps “Sad Satan” is merely some unfinished gaming or software project. On the other hand, it could have a much more insidious agenda. Either way, I feel like I would like to give the game a whirl, but it is unknown if there is even a working download link anywhere for it. A lot of people are looking for the download still so I put this together so it's easier. Don't let people download the bad version out there. This version has no virus nor any bad pictures. Please read the sticky also.

This is one of those internet stories that doesn’t have a conclusion (yet). It’s simply a creepy oddity, and holds inside of it a bunch of references waiting to be decoded.
The so-called “deep web” is the internet that is not accessible by search engines, listed in directories, or plastered all over social media. It’s anything that is in a private database, password-locked server, private websites and forums, and anything that has a paywall. Despite things like The Silk Road getting press for selling illegal drugs over the deep web, most of the deep web isn’t creepy or nefarious — the majority of it is unindexed web garbage, so to speak. However, creepy indie game Sad Satan seems to be more nefarious than it is
Jamie is the owner of the YouTube channel Obscure Horror Corner, and one of his subscribers sent him a link to a game called Sad Satan located on a deep web site where people can post their files anonymously. That subscriber found it in a forum post listed as the link to the game signed with the initials “ZK.”
Jamie downloaded the file he was linked to and ran a malware check on it. Everything seemed to check out, so he started playing the “game” and recording videos for his YouTube channel. The game, as it turns out, is super weird.
For most of it, the player walks down a series of hallways in a dark maze and usually his or her footsteps make up the soundtrack. Only occasionally are the visuals interrupted by brief flashes of black-and-white photography, and towards the end of the video, the soundtrack builds to a loud rumble accompanied by what sounds like a dialogue track extremely slowed down.
The two flashed images in the first video is of a gentleman at Konopiště in the Czeck Republic. It was the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, an avid hunter and the guy whose assassination started World War I. The internet has discovered that the man pictured is Franz Joseph, 9th Prince of Thurn. The second is of Jimmy Savile and Margaret Thatcher promoting the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). Which is obviously here for irony because Jimmy Savile was notoriously accused of many child sexual assaults.
A few days later, a second video popped up. Black-and-white images flashed at us this time include a photo of JFK minutes before he was assassinated and a close-up of the “Sabbatic Goat” image drawn by Eliphas Levi to represent Baphomet. There’s also more obvious dialogue being played backwards, as well as some radio station clips being mixed into the atmospheric audio.
Obviously, that’s not the creepiest part. The creepiest part is that the second half of the video reveals there are also children-sized beings in this maze with you.
Occasionally a white screen will flash in the game with some seemingly random wingdings in small black type. A Reddit user has discovered these symbols are anything but random. They are threatening:
Jamie played the game long enough to record a few videos for his site before deleting the game because it kept spawning a Notepad file on his desktop (and it’s a deep web game, there’s no guarantee it isn’t a Satanic supervirus). Recently, he started uploading the videos with this in the description:
Strange feel to the game and there doesn’t seem to be any aim. I just wandered around and got teleported into different sections. Nothing really happened but it has an odd feeling about it and kinda freaks me out. There is more to come on this, I have a few more videos recorded and the game just keeps getting more bizarre. I don’t think I finished the game but I did delete it because it was getting a bit strange, and a note pad file that went along with the game kept appearing on my desktop each time I played the game with some gibberish messages.
He is hoping that posting videos from the game will help someone identify who ZK is and what the game’s ultimate purpose was. Is it someone’s failed undergrad programming project, or a game about assassination and child abuse? Kotaku managed to find the commenter who originally submitted the Sad Satan game to Obscure Horror Corner, but he didn’t have much more information to go on.
“I first found out about the game on a deep web forum,” he said. “It’s like an all purpose site, all your usual forums can be found there (tech help, reviews, fitness, things like that), plus some original content…The user never specified whether it was his own content or someone else’s, but I presume it was the user’s game,” he said. “He signed off his post with ‘ZK.'”
The third of thus far three videos includes a lengthy monologue that Charles Manson gave from San Quentin to NBC in the 1980s. The player is forced to listen to a pretty large chunk of it while creepy imagery is once again flashed.
The key Manson phrase: “If I started murdering people, there’d be none of you left,” pops up in a creepy lantern-lit hallway with the on-screen text “Suffering Doesn’t End.”

The Manson audio clip plays on loop, then the game cuts to a static screen with a looping song clip over it:
Outside of being able to identify the primary visual references and the Charles Manson monologue, the rest of the mystery probably has to be unraveled on the internet, or playing sound clips from the game backwards.
The file name the game came under, “Sad Satan,” is a reference to a part of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” played backwards. Forward, the verse goes like this:
“If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed now, it’s just a spring clean for the May queen. Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run there’s still time to change the road you’re on.”

Whereas adults with Satan Panic claim to hear this verse when it is played in reverse:
“Oh here’s to my sweet Satan. The one whose little path would make me sad, whose power is satan. He’ll give those with him 666, there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan.”
